We are the Friends of Aireville Park, a group of committed people who live locally and give a voice to our park.
We liaise with Craven District Council (CDC) about developments and are consulted about changes that affect the park. In the past five years, with the support of CDC and many generous local businesses and groups, we have raised funds for a skatepark, pump track and most recently a fabulous new playground.
But we don’t want to stop there!
We want Aireville Park to become even more accessible to people of all ages with many interests. We also want to see more trees and wildflowers planted, so that Aireville Park can become a haven for wildlife and a green lung for Skipton.
We have been fortunate to have received awards over the last two years for our efforts, the videos below show our nominations for the Greener Craven award 2017, the Community Group of the Year award for 2017 and the Greener Craven award 2016. They give an idea of the types of events we organise and contribute to and how other groups in Craven have been supporting us too.
If you would like to join our award winning team, even for one event, please get in touch. Find us on facebook or twitter or subscribe to this blog to receive updates. Or send us an email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
